WSOP 2011 – Day 1 of $1,500 NL 6-max attracts 1,920 players
After the opening day of the $1,500 NL 6-max bracelet event a field of 1,920 has been whittled down to 188, just eight places off the money as Day 2 begins tonight. Leading the way is Anthony Spinella who turned his 4,500 starting stack into 223,000 by the time players bagged up chips.

WSOP 2011 - UK’s Matt Perrins leads $1.5k 2-7 Draw final table
Prepare yourself, Las Vegas – another British player has made a World Series of Poker final table and you know that means we’ll be all over the drunken chanting and jeering at the final table. Matt Perrins has over $500,000 in live tournament cashes including a win at an IPT event in 2009.
WSOP 2011 – Amir Lehavot wins Pot-Limit Hold ‘em $10k
The $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold ‘em Championship began Day 3 with 27 players in the money and the potential for a star-studded final table. Mike Matusow, Jennifer Tilly, Robert Mizrachi and Toby Lewis were all still in play but all fell short of the final nine.
WSOP 2011 – Allen Bari beats Maria Ho to $5k NL bracelet
The $5,000 NL event was originally intended to be a three-day tournament but with just four players remaining and eight eyes getting weary play was stopped overnight and the final four returned the next day.
WSOP 2011 – over 4,000 players for Event #8: $1,000 NL
The first small buy-in No Limit Hold ‘em event has gotten under way at the World Series of Poker this weekend with over 4,000 players putting up $1,000 to compete in one of the largest annual poker tournaments in the world. Just 624 of them remain after two days.

Jake Cody wins $25k Heads Up Championship
It's been quite the year and a half for Jake Cody. After taking an EPT title in Deauville and a WPT on home turf in London the young Briton has completed the triple crown after winning the WSOP $25k Heads Up Championship. All at the tender age of 22.
Moneymaker and Chan triumph in WSOP Grudge Matches
History repeated itself at the Rio as Chris Moneymaker once again emerged triumphant against Sammy Farha in the WSOP Grudge Match.
