Prepare yourself, Las Vegas – another British player has made a World Series of Poker final table and you know that means we’ll be all over the drunken chanting and jeering at the final table. Matt Perrins has over $500,000 in live tournament cashes including a win at an IPT event in 2009.

Now he is leading the field in the $1,500 2-7 Draw event – no limits, one draw like how MEN play – over a tough final table including Bernard Lee, legend Chris Bjorin and run-good machine Jason Mercier. Mercier had a great then terrible then great day – in the space of one hour he had half the average stack which he then tripled up and tripled up again to take the chip lead. Shortly after he lost a big pot and now sits at the final seven with the shortest stack.

First place in this event is over $100,000 with each of the seven remaining players guaranteed $10,524.
