With the dinner break done and dusted, the likes of Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Laak, Sam Trickett and David Benyamine have returned to play out the last two ninety-minute levels of the WSOPE Main Event.

With players still on the dinner break we have 162 hungry poker enthusiasts returning in forty minutes to play level four of Day 1b at the World Series of Poker Europe. With an average stack of around 40,000 blinds will be 200/400/50 at the beginning of level four.

With Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, David Benyamine, Chris Moorman (who on 40,000 plus should show up on time more often), Viktor Blom, Barry Greenstein, Liv Boeree, Neil Channing and Mike Matusow still alive this is an action-packed field.

It’s amazing how many hands are decided as the result of mistakes – Daniel “jungleman12” Cates left when he called off his stack with second pair and a straight draw thinking he had a set and James Akenhead was eliminated due to a miscount.

We first heard of Sam Trickett when he won the GUKPT Luton event way back when in 2008. Since then he has accumulated more than $1.7m in live tournament winnings and most recently took down the PartyPoker World Open.

The third level of Day 1b of the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event has concluded and the players are on a 20 minute break. We had, in total, 220 entrants today and 31 players have left the building £10,300 poorer including Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Vanessa Rousso.

With less than 200 players remaining out of the 210 entrants we are starting to see more big pots – Liv Boeree and Freddy Deeb both just doubled to almost 50,000; the former doing so despite being apparently allergic to the antibiotics she’s on.

With the commencement of the 150/300 level on Day 1b of the WSOPE Main Event comes the end of registration. The official count being touted is 347 players, which is less than the 362-strong fields of 2007/8 but 14 more players than Barry Shulman outlasted in 2009.

Bearing in mind that we can't go across the felt and count the chips manually (would you trust Matt Perry with your chip stack? Thought not) these are approximate but if we are wrong, it will only be by a big blind or so.

We have wrapped up the second ninety-minute level here at The Empire and despite the departures of Tom Dwan and Juha Helppi we still have a more than star-studded field with the likes of Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Neil Channing and David Benyamine still playing.
