Break time - level three over at WSOPE Main Event

Friday, 24 September 2010

The third level of Day 1b of the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event has concluded and the players are on a 20 minute break. We had, in total, 220 entrants today and 31 players have left the building £10,300 poorer including Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Vanessa Rousso.

You’ll be happy to know that the British players are leading the way with both Irish Open champion and World Poker Open winner James Mitchell and Sam Trickett having built up more than 75,000 in their stacks. Stuart Rutter and Roland DeWolfe are still hovering around their starting stacks while Neil Channing is approaching 40,000.

One Brit who took a hit (into the rail) was WSOP bracelet-winner Richard Ashby. He had bought his laptop in case he needed to multi-table the PokerStars WCOOP event that he is at the finals of tonight – an impending WCOOP tournament is always good reason to gamble for a big stack and it didn’t pay off for ‘Chufty’ who left shortly before the third break.

Join us again in 20 minutes when we’ll begin level four of Day 1b.
