Besides the $10,300 Heads-Up High Roller, Sunday and Monday saw the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker host several more huge events, including two with seven-figure guarantees (burst, naturally) and the true degenerate’s game – 6-max Omaha with rebuys. Ryan Daut came close to victory in Event #40 while yet more UK players made final tables. Here are the results of WCOOP 40 – 45.

Another Sunday, another opportunity to become a millionaire on PokerStars. More so yesterday as the WCOOP is continuing on strongly, with last night being a landmark date in the WCOOP calendar. Most notably, the $10,300 Heads-Up NL High Roller event took place with high stakes Sit ‘n’ Go player Pistons87 taking the honours and $144,000.

September is always our favourite month of the year in the poker world, and not just because Poker in the Park begins in just three days’ time. In addition to the WSOPE and the EPT London we also have the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker that begins this Sunday with three huge events.

Amazingly, Ilari “The PLO specialist formerly known as Ziigmund” Sahamies is almost out of the $800,000 hole he found himself in when he first joined the high stakes games on PokerStars as “Ilari_FIN”. He cleaned out Viktor “Isildur1” Blom in a high stakes heads-up Omaha session, winning almost $500,000.

Isildur1 kicked off his weekend at PokerStars just about as well as anyone can hope to. On Friday he played German PLO specialist “mTw-DaviN” at a few tables of $25/$50 heads-up, winning around $60,000 in less than three hours. That saw him take a short break (unheard of, we know) before taking on old nemesis Rui Cao aka PepperoniF.

OK, he probably didn’t go all-in 2,526 times but it can’t be too far off. The Sunday Million on PokerStars yesterday attracted 6,383 players to give us a prize pool of more than seven figures as well as a first place prize touching on $200,000. With 987 players paid, even making the money was just the start of another large-field tournament.
