186 return for WSOPE Main Event Day 2

Play resumed slightly later than usual today in order to give the day 1b players a bit of rest after a late finish last night. Those who chose to play day 1a on Saturday were awarded with a day off yesterday as well as a rare visit from the sun fairy. With players well rested, the action has now resumed at the Empire.

Day 1b of the Betfair World Series of Poker Europe 2009 Main Event drew to a close late last night with over 100 players still in the field – in fact, the 107 survivors far outweighed the 79 players coming from Day 1a.

Day 1b updates...

The atmosphere here at the Empire during day 1b of the WSOPE Main Event has been rather subdued in comparison to yesterday’s day 1a. In between being amused by the PokerNews.com guys discussing the very un-American phenomenon of rugby (“those guys are crazy!”), the Bluff Europe team have also been diligently journalising (yes, that’s a word) at the ongoing Day 1a of the WSOPE Main Event.

WSOPE £10,000 Main Event Day 1a

After a torrid journey through a packed A40 and a majorly closed-off Oxford Street I found myself at the World Series of Poker Europe £10,000 NLHE Main Event with 150 of the 156 initial entrants for Day 1a remaining.
