The first day of the first event of the WSOPE is underway and an ever-growing field of 534 have thus far registered for the event.

18 online qualifiers took to the felt at noon today in order to begin their quest for the 1 $million 1st prize.

Last chance to qualify for WSOPE this weekend
Betfair Poker is giving players one last chance to qualify for the Main Event of this year’s World Series Of Poker Europe. Five packages worth $20,000 apiece are on offer in a special satellite tournament that takes place on Sunday 13th September at 6.30pm UK time.

World Series of Poker Europe Preview
The Betfair WSOPE first took place in 2007 when Annette Obrestad bluffed, lucked out and bullied her way to a £1,000,000 first-place prize. This ushered in a new era for European poker where aggressive Scandinavians dominated the games. Thanks, Annette – I haven’t won a pot without the nuts in two years.
