Who is the man known on PokerStars as RaiseOnce, often seen playing the $200/$400 big bet games and the $500/$1,000 and $1,000/$2,000 Limit Hold ‘em games on the world’s largest poker site? Rumours on the rail pin his identity as being either Phil Ivey or Patrik Antonius; regardless he is a skilled player and proved it last night by taking down the $25,500 Heads-Up event at the WCOOP.

'Malestra Pam’ leads September at Full Tilt high stakes
The big tournaments in Europe and London in particular seem to be drying up the high stakes online games but there are still players grinding it out on Full Tilt Poker’s nosebleed stakes. In fact, the lack of world class pros means some new names emerge.
Shaun Deeb wins WCOOP Event 28, $1,050 NLHE
“Was 16-tabling and thought I won the $11r but turned out it was the WCOOP” Deeb tweeted, maybe jokingly, after winning his second WCOOP career title at PokerStars in Event 28, the 2-day $1,050 NLHE, for a $244,000 payday.

Ziigmund loses $190,000 in just 12 hands at Full Tilt
A tidy little winrate on the latest grind for superbaldas at Full Tilt Poker’s nosebleed stakes – 2,638BB/100. The unknown high stakes player is a bit of a rookie at the nosebleed tables but so far has earned $900,000 in 2010, bolstered by the 12-hand win against Ziigmund yesterday.

The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker is still going strong with huge tournaments, cheap satellites and great value prize pools. The last five events saw four with a small overlay but still, $2,330,000 or so was won by players over the last couple of days online.

‘Raptor’ beats Ziigmund for $180,000 at CAP PLO
Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond yesterday Tweeted: “where have all the games gone?” Well, his buddy David “raptor417” Benefield got some at the CAP PLO tables, taking on Ziigmund for 620 hands and taking back $181,000.
PokerStars WCOOP – Events 22, 23, 24 and 25 conclude
The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker concluded four events yesterday that offered a prize pool of more than four million dollars across the events. Unusually, though, PokerStars had to pay a six-figure sum to make up the guarantees in three of the four events.

Is Isildur1 ‘Grolongo’ on PokerStars?

PokerStars WCOOP Day 6 – over $700,000 awarded
Despite the fact that the PLO 6-max event didn’t quite meet the prize pool guarantee – only the second time this has happened in the 2010 WCOOP – it was still a successful day at the tables in the 2010 World Championship of Online Poker. Unusually, however, there was not a No Limit Hold ‘em event in sight.
