The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker is still going strong with huge tournaments, cheap satellites and great value prize pools. The last five events saw four with a small overlay but still, $2,330,000 or so was won by players over the last couple of days online.

The $320 Limit Hold ‘em event fell a few hundred players short of the $400,000 guarantee as johnsonkc69 beat a 1,116-strong field for a first prize of $54,500 after a three-handed deal.

In the next event, 2005 WSOP champion Greg Raymer followed up his deep run in the $215 1r 1a Omaha turbo with a deeper run in the $320 Badugi tournament, ultimately finishing third for a $10,750 chunk of the $100,000 prize pool. Winner jmonnet earned over $25,000.

Shawn Buchanan rose to the top of the field remaining after Day 1 of the $1,050 NLHE event. It attracted 1,433 players for a prize pool touching $1.5m and 162 players paid; the winner will take home just shy of a quarter-million dollars. Three PokerStars Pros made the money but none return with the 72 players guaranteed $3,430 today for Day 2.

The final event of the past two days was the $530 NL Triple Shootout which played down to the final ten-handed table yesterday. Winning the first table of the event earned players $1,925; the second $7,000 and $91,250 for the one of the 895-player field that was short of meeting the $500,000 guarantee.

Today the final table will play out with each surviving player guaranteed $7,000 and the top six $20,000 with a first prize just shy of $100,000. There’s still time to take your six-figure prize with satellite schedules and the WCOOP schedule at PokerStars.
