Turbo Championship of Online Poker concludes
The inaugural PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker is over, with the $770 Main Event wrapping things up with a $2.4 million prize pool. The 3,500 plus field capped off a series that has awarded $18 million in prize money.

Much like James Akenhead, we haven’t heard much from Toby Lewis for a while – though he did pick up a WCOOP title late last year. Much like James Akenhead, he’s won a tournament on PokerStars.

PokerStars 10th Anniversary Sunday Storm meets guarantee
As part of the PokerStars 10th Anniversary celebrations, the guarantee of the $10 + $1 buy-in Sunday Storm was upped from $200k to $1m. No problem for PokerStars who saw 116,400 players compete for a $1.16m prize pool.

Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies has continued his November tear into this month with over $300k won in the first nine days of December. He added another $118k to his total yesterday despite playing fewer than 100 hands.

The past weekend has seen some more high stakes Omaha action at the virtual felt on PokerStars with Rafael Amit and “Jeans89” the biggest winners of the weekend, taking home $79k and $76k respectively.

Ilari Sahamies the winner, PepperoniF crashes the “!P0krparty¡”
The P0krparty¡ saga is over, it seems. After a hectic six weeks the party halted with an eight hour session and a loss of approximately half a million dollar at the $50/$100 PLO tables. The final nail in the coffin saw him lose with a full house versus a better boat.

The man (or woman) who annoys poker writes everywhere, “P0krparty¡”, is still an unknown player at the PokerStars high stakes games despite an epic run with six-figure swings over the past few weeks. A very much known player, Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond, was the latest victim.
