Ruslan Vlasov wins Fox Poker Club Main Event

Monday, 5 March 2012

Ruslan Vlasov has bagged his second live title in a month after taking down the Fox Poker Club Main Event over the weekend.

The former DTD dealer got his live career off to a flying start in Birmingham last month by winning the first ever Genting Poker Series event and added another £9,370 to his bankroll after outlasting a 105-runner field at the Fox.

Ruslan sealed the win against Adrian Smith, when his pocket tens held on against Smith's Ad2d. Two diamonds on the flop gave Ruslan a sweat but the turn a river were blanks, consigning the unfortunate Smith to his second runner up finish in the Fox Main Event this year. £7,470 should provide some consolation though.

The final table positions and payouts were as follows:

1 Ruslan Vlasov £9,370
2 Adrian Smith £7,470
3 Jen-Yue Chiang £4,130
4 Leo Lim £3,070
5 Grant Pirie £2,130
6 Rashid Elqmache £1,500
7 Peter Vu £1,260
8 Tim Maxwell £940
9 Roland Redhead £630

Qualifiers are up and running at the Fox and online at Genting Poker for Leg 2 of the Genting Poker Series which takes place at the Shaftesbury Avenue venue from 17th April until 1st April.
