Heartland Hat-trick for Raymer
Tuesday, 23 October 2012
Greg Raymer is really taking a shine to the Heartland Poker Tour. Fossiliman has made it not one, not two but three wins on this season's Tour after taking the honours at the latest event in Altoona, Iowa.
The former WSOP Main Event winner pocketed a first prize of $72,089 after besting an 185-runner field at the Prairie Meadows Racetrack Casino Hotel.
Raymer earned himself a $121,973 pay day earlier this month after winning the HPT event in Albuquerque. With the latest triumph in Iowa, Raymer becomes the second player alongside Jeremy Dresch to win a hat-trick of titles on the Heartland Tour.
The final table positions and payouts were as follows:
1. Greg Raymer – $72,089
2. Chad Lawson – $41,771
3. Craig Casino – $26,275
4. Ben Stroh – $22,233
5. Ed Sinnett – $16,978
6. Josh Birkenbuel – $14,526
