Thursday, 22 May 2014

Earlier this week, we asked whether Gus Hansen's recent online upswing would last. Days later, the answer would appear to be a resounding no.

The Dane enjoyed a great 48-hours at the triple draw and eight-game tables on Sunday and Monday, profiting to the tune of $1.1m. By the the close of play of Wednesday, Gus had lost all that and more after a horrific run that saw him drop just over $1.3m.

The latest losses take Gus over $3m into the red for 2014. The 40-year-old's overall losses are rapidly approaching an eye watering $18m according to HighStakesDB.com.

For every loser there has to be a winner and man topping the leader board over the past 48 hours is PostflopAction who is up by over $412,000. Also enjoying some healthy midweek action were the likes of Crazy Elior (+$329k), Alexonmoon (+$289k) and Phil 'Polariazing' Ivey (+$234k).
