Tuesday, 20 May 2014

It's been a torrid first few months of the year for Gus Hansen but are there green shoots of recovery in the offing? The Dane has made a dent into his ample 2014 losses after a profitable couple of days at the online tables.

Hansen's good run started on Sunday at the triple draw and eight-game tables where he booked a profit of over $550,000 after tangling with the likes of Khan, Phil 'Polarizing' Ivey, PostFlopAction and FindAGrind.

He returned to the tables on Monday and repeated the trick, adding almost the same amount to his roll when calling it quits at just after midnight.

According to the number crunchers at HighStakesDB.com, Hansen has played 3,364 hands over the past 48 hours and is up $1,107,536.

Despite the latest upswing, Gus has dropped over $2.3m on the year to date and has is in the red in the big online games to the tune of $17m in total.
