A very healthy field of 68 runners was on hand at the Fox Poker Club for the first of two opening day flights for the Genting Poker Series Grand Final. At the close of play just 27 remained with a very familiar face at the head of the leader board.

Yucel Eminoglu, winner of the Stoke leg of the Genting Poker Series, is the man to beat and will return tomorrow with a stack of 175,200 followed by Mo Kavi 166,900 and Elliott Panyi 150,800.


Notable names to navigate their way through the opening day's action included Unibet Open London winner Pratik Ghatge 83,800, WSOP finalist Warren Wooldridge 69,300, BlackBelt Poker pro Jamie Burland 59,900, Fox Main Event winner Gabriel Tuna 45,900, Bluff Europe's own Neil Channing 33,500, The Hit Squad's Chaz Chattha 30,000 and Hendon Mobster Ross Boatman 23,600.


Many more big names are expected for the second opening flight of the £2,500 Main Event which gets under way at 1pm today.
