Doug Polk's $700,000 Bluff in the Aussie Millions Cash Game

Wednesday, 12 February 2014

With a fresh $4 million in his back pocket courtesy of the Aussie Millions $250,000 Challenge and some of the best grinders still in town, it was inevitable that Phil Ivey would take part in the latest Aussie Millions cash game.

Standing between Ivey and another huge payday stood the likes Patrik Antonius, Tom Dwan and Isaac Haxton as well as some of Asia's loosest amateur billionaires.

Also taking part in the game was the UK's Paul Newey, who was happy to tell his followers he was in for $500,000, and Douglas 'WCGRider' Polk who described the game as "fantastic".

Despite battling with some of the toughest players in the world, Polk was one of the most active players at the start of the session and quickly raced to a $220,000 profit.

However, a series of swings and a failed bluff against Patrik Antonius in a $700,000 pot eventually left the American pro with a $315,000 deficit.

With the game now coming to an end it shouldn't be long before we get to see all the action on our TV screens.
