Alleged Partouche Poker Tour cheat sues organisers

Alleged Partouche Poker Tour cheat sues organisers

Saturday, 26 February 2011

Late last year we brought you news of a very strange incident involving an alleged cheat who had managed to work his way to the final table of the Partouche Poker Tour (which was eventually won by Vanessa Selbst).

The accused player, Ali Tekintamgac, was disqualified from the event with organisers believing that he was using fake bloggers to signal what his opponents' hole cards were.

It appears that French police have declined to take any further action against Tekintamgac who is now suing the Partouche Poker Tour for €1.3m in loss of earnings (the first prize from Novemner's event) as well as €200,000 for the damage caused to his reputation.

No trial date has as yet been confirmed.
