Vanessa Selbst wins Partouche Poker Tour

Vanessa Selbst wins Partouche Poker Tour

Monday, 8 November 2010

The Partouche Poker Tour in France reached its conclusion in Cannes over the weekend, with its own version of the November Nine. In this case though it was a November Eight rather than nine after Ali Tekintamgac had been disqualified from the final because of cheating. The German was booted out after officials discovered video evidence of him working with fake bloggers who were feeding him information about opponents' hole cards.

These shenanegans overshadowed another fantastic performance from Vanessa Selbst who added another major title to an already highly impressive CV. The PokerStars pro won $750,000 at the NAPT Mohegan Sun earlier this year and added another €1.3m to her bankroll after winning in Cannes.

Selbst, who went into the final as the chip leader, worked her way through to a heads up encounter with Raphael Kroll before sealing the deal with pocket Queens. The poker pro and trainee lawyer now has career earnings of over $3.8m.
