Según ha informado Bloomberg la semana pasada, el nuevo dueño del club, un Sheikh qatarí, romperá el acuerdo de patrocinio.
El nuevo dueño del Málaga FC, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani de Qatar, ha afirmado que ha decidido a reemplazar el trato con William Hill. La acción se tomará debido a que el juego forma de recreación está prohibido por las leyes del islam.William Hill entró como el principal patrocinador del club en agosto del 2009. El acuerdo fuese vigente hasta el 2012. El Sheikh compró el equipo el mes pasado a un costo de 10.5 millones de euros que incluyó incluyendo los 36 mde de deuda que ha generado.“Somos conscientes de que el Málaga tiene ahora un nuevo dueño y actualmente estamos en conversaciones. Por ahora seguimos siendo el principal patrocinador del Malaga FC”. Comentó Kate Miller, portavoz de William Hill a Bloomberg.
