Las autoridades de EEUU han congelado las cuentas de empresas procesadoras de pagos relacionados con las salas de poker en línea.
La Poker Players Alliance informó a la agencia de noticias The Associated Press (AP) de los hechos de la semana pasada para que la nota se publicara este martes pasado. El total de 33 millones de dólares corresponda a las ganancias y depósitos de 27 mil jugadores, incluso algunos sectores de las clientelas de Full Tilt Poker y Poker Stars.El Fiscal Federal del Distrito del Sur de Nueva York ordenó a tres bancos congelar las cuentas. Documentos obtenidos por AP muestran que un juez federal expidió un orden oficial para la confiscación de la cuenta del procesador de pagos en línea Allied Systems Inc. En el banco Wells Fargo de San Francisco, California.Una carta fue mandado al Alliance Bank la tarde del viernes pasado explicando que las cuentas están sujetos a confiscación “por que constituyen de propiedad involucrada en transacciones del lavado de dinero y delitos del juego ilegal” y firmado por Arlo Devlin-Brown, Sub-Fiscal Federal del Distrito del Sur de Nueva York.Full Tilt Poker ha informado que los fondos de los jugadores están asegurados y que los métodos de depósito y retiro continúan disponibles para los jugadores de los EEUU.
