WSOP Event 1, Day 2: Hougaard = Bloch-Buster

WSOP Event 1, Day 2: Hougaard = Bloch-Buster

Sunday, 21 September 2008

It's that man Hougaard again, this time taking out Full Tilt pro Andy Bloch.

After a hand moments before where Bloch had raised from under the gun only to surrender to a shove from the far end of the table, Bloch found himself under pressure as one of the shorter stacks. A now well recognised raised from the 'Man With the Final Table Headphones' up to 20,000 was met by an all in reraise by Bloch and his King-Jack. Jesper called with pocket Queens, and when the board could only offer the FTP pro a measly jack, he found himself heading for the exit signs.

How long it will be until the final table is set is anyone's guess, but with Bloch now out, Event 1 won't be having its 'household' name at the final table. Junglen is looking confident, Hougaard is knocking people out for fun and Neil Channing is still there, hostage to tournament poker when you know he'd rather be playing cash. Poor lad.
