WSOP Europe Event 2: Recap of Day 1

WSOP Europe Event 2: Recap of Day 1

Tuesday, 23 September 2008

A field of 110 gathered for the £2,500 HORSE event at the WSOPE this year, and it was one ofthe most stacked fields we've seen in the English capital in many years. Two of the best known pros ended up on top of the heap by the time the 56 who remain went home for the night.

Of course, with HORSE being played limit it took a while for the sparks to fly, yet Chad Brown, Andy Black, Layne Flack and Mori Eskandani were among the early fallers. It also proved to be a tough day for Barry Greenstein, who ended the day well under half of his initial 10,000 chip stack.
Play will continue today until we have our final table set, and with Ivey and Hellmuth one-two on the chip counts it is sure to be another interesting day in London.
