WSOP Europe Event 1: Down to three.

Monday, 22 September 2008

Hougaard, Timoshenko and Serhan will now fight it out for the £144,000 first prize and WSOP Europe bracelet after the Bluff Europe favourite Neil 'Bad Beat' Channing loses with 88 vs. A6.

It didn't even come in the customary 'ace on the flop' fashion, oh no. When the money went in with Channing's pocket eights ahead of Jesper Hougaard's Ace-Six, the flop of J-J-T looked harmless enough. The horrible looking ten on the turn meant the Englishman's pair had been counterfeited, and no eight arrived to save his bacon.

The bracelet will go to either Jesper Hougaard, Yevgeniy Timoschenko or Fuad Serhan. Good luck gentleman.
