dean23price wins PokerStars Super Tuesday

Wednesday, 3 March 2010

The PokerStars Super Tuesday, a $1,050 tournament with a quarter-million dollars guaranteed, saw 390 players compete to create a prize pool of $390,000 and a first place prize of $75,000.

Sunday Million runner-up dean23price was in good position when the bubble burst and the 45 players left were guaranteed a payout, and he came to the final table with a gigantic chip lead; holding almost one third of the chips in play.

Eventually he reached the heads-up battle against oncommand, holding a nearly 2/1 chip lead. However, oncommand made a valiant effort, evening the chip stacks to just under 1,000,000 apiece.

Soon after, though, oncommand found himself in command (see what we did there?) of just 160,000. In the last hand, he pitched his Q8o against the A5 of dean23price and the board ran out blank, shipping all the chips in the tournament to ace high.

The full list of final table placings and payouts is as follows:

1st place: dean23price ($75,465.00)
2nd place: oncommand ($56,550.00)
3rd place: jus2awsum ($42,900.00)
4th place: Pokerl)evil ($32,175.00)
5th place: LUHMAN ($22,230.00)
6th place: Siervos ($17,160.00)
7th place: jiacstrap ($13,260.00)
8th place: danskemann ($9,360.00)
9th place: JBurleson ($6,825.00).
