Ziigmund wins almost $200k at high stakes PLO

Friday, 6 May 2011

Post-Black Friday action on Full Tilt has been a rarely-seen thing but it’s usually Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies who gets things going again at the Omaha tables. Such was the case last night when Sahamies, despite recently stating he was “through” with Full Tilt and PokerStars, logged a good session against Sauce1234.

Playing mostly $100/$200 PLO, Sahamies won over $150k from Sauce1234 before topping up his profits against davin77 to earn $186,000 on the night. In his biggest pot he flopped top set with the nut flush draw – Omaha is a beautiful game like that – in a 4-bet pot before turning a full house and taking a 600BB pot worth over $120,000.

Sahamies is down over half a million dollars for this year, despite the edge taken off by this win. At PokerStars under the name Ilari FIN, he has lost almost $400k in 2011, joining Daniel Negreanu and skjervoy in the biggest losers club.
