Ziigmund wins $400,000 at Full Tilt Poker

Thursday, 11 February 2010

Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies has had a typically up and down year. In January he was one of the biggest online winners with a total profit of $1.1m for the month. In the first week of February, he was back down to $0.

After a torrid start to February he has made a nice comeback, playing 1,948 hands yesterday and earning himself a tidy little sum of $393,767. In addition, Tom “durrrr” Dwan managed to make almost a quarter-million dollars in the same time period, while Brian Townsend compounded his 2010 losses by dropping another $188,000.

Cole “CTS” South is by far and away the biggest earner of 2010 thus far – he’s really put in the work, playing about 30,000 hands of $100/$200 and above and so far is up $2.2m – way ahead of PostFlopAction who is the second-highest 2010 earner.

Patrik Antonius has had some decent results but a total of $550,000 lost in the Durrrr Challenge still puts him at $1.5m in the red for 2010. If he carries on like he has been against durrrr then he could be looking at a $2.4m net loss for the challenge.
