Ziigmund loses $600,000 in six days – may take a break

Friday, 6 August 2010

Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies is the polar opposite of our reports of Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey yesterday. Less than a week into August, the young Finn has lost $560,000 this month through tilt, bad beats and general variance.

“I just finished my session and I lost 500k...,” he wrote on his blog. For the next paragraph, [sic] doesn’t quite cover it: “I played very bad and didnt get inspiration...I keep break till next month and I start play seriously :) FCUK...Im so tilt for poker....Life is good, poker isnt so...”

This year at Full Tilt Poker, Ziigmund has lost almost $400,000 which is perfectly standard for the stakes played – that’s no more than ten buy-ins at $200/$400 let alone $500/$1,000. Overall it seems Ziigmund’s 2010 has been rather break-even, so maybe a break would give him fresh perspective when he returns to Full Tilt Poker.
