Ziigmund beats up on Gus Hansen at CAP PLO

Friday, 1 October 2010

The bad news for online railbirds is that the pros seem to be favouring the capped games once again; the good news is that it doesn’t stop six-figure swings and huge beatings dished out by one player to another.

In this case the man dishing out the beating was Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies who managed to win $750,000 via a series of $60,000 pots; destroying Gus Hansen and taking a fair chunk from harrington25.

Hansen’s £290,000 from his World Series of Poker Europe bracelet has already gone to the Finnish economy after a disastrous session where he seemed to be unable to win a pot and ran into the nuts time and time again.

This puts Gus at minus $1.9m for 2010 but he has put in more volume than anyone except durrrr, playing more than 260,000 hands of high stakes poker since the beginning of the year.
