Vladimir Schmelev tops the online leaderboards at HORSE tables

Friday, 24 February 2012

Vladimir “GVOZDIKA55” Schmelev has been headlining the action online in the past few days as he battles the man thought to be Phil Ivey, known at the PokerStars high stakes tables as RaiseOnce.

The Russian lost almost $500k to RaiseOnce back in January and recently made inroads towards making that up with a victory of $146,000 at the HORSE tables and the PLO games. He won over $100k from RaiseOnce and made up the rest at high stakes Omaha.

The Omaha tables saw their own action but no one won or lost more than a few buy-ins, though each buy-in is of course five figures. Rob Akery was the biggest winner with $124k profit from $100/$200 and $50/$100 PLO.
