Tom Dwan loses over $2m in May; jungleman12 is top dog

Thursday, 3 June 2010

Evidently the high stakes online pros were preparing for the WSOP because the action in May was fairly quiet. Regardless of that, certain sick individuals still managed to win or lose millions throughout the course of the month.

By far the biggest winner in May was heads-up specialist and recently-appointed CardRunners instructor jungleman12, who took on anyone and everyone to win the better part of $1.3m. He wasn’t the only non-red name to make a huge sum though as Jared “harrington25” Bleznick rustled up a cool $1.1m.

At the opposite end of the spectrum we had Tom “durrrr” Dwan who engaged in another famous and furious downswing to drop over $2m in May. This cuts into his 2010 winnings slightly but overall the boy has had a monster year after losing millions to Isildur1 in November. The Swede lost around $200,000 in May.

Phil Ivey earned himself over three-quarters of a million dollars despite only playing a few hands and surprisingly Full Tilt Pro Gus Hansen was up there in third place having made almost $900,000.
