Tom Dwan beats Ziigmund out of $1,200,000 at PLO

Tuesday, 5 October 2010

Tom “durrrr” Dwan had one of his best days ever at Full Tilt Poker's nosebleed games, boosting his bankroll by $1.5m largely at the expense of Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies who dropped $1.2m in a brutal session of $500/$1,000 PLO.

Ziigmund suffered an absolute beating over 1,047 hands of heads-up PLO against durrrr; who was held to about even (give or take $250,000) throughout the match before going on a surge and accumulating over a million dollars in around 600 hands.

Their biggest pot was 4-bet pre-flop so when Ziigmund flopped two pair and durrrr the nut flush draw and eight outs to the nut straight, it was always going in. On a 5h-8s-Jh board, Dwan held Ah-6h-7c-Tc and Ziigmund A-J-9-8. Holding one of Dwan’s outs did him no good as a four on the turn gave durrrr the nuts and the $420,000 pot.
