Tobias Reinkemeier wins PokerStars Sunday Million

Tuesday, 31 May 2011

We saw a rare and not-so-rare sight at the final table of the PokerStars Sunday Million this past weekend. The rare sight was a nine-way deal, meaning every player at the final table chopped up the prize pool before playing for the remnants and the title.

The not-so-rare sight was Tobias Reinkemeier at a big final table, in this instance under the screen name of PokerNoob999. Of course, we know he’s anything but a noob with two final tables in EPT High Roller events under his belt for 2011 alone. The Hamburg pro has over $2.2m in live tournament cashes to his name and can now add online poker’s biggest weekly title to his collection.

The Sunday Million fell just short of the $1m guarantee this past week with 4,833 players turning out for the $215 event. The nine-handed deal saw most players take home between $25,000 and $50,000 with Reinkemeier and runner-up The__Anfied the only six-figure winners. The full payouts were as follows:

1.Tobias “PokerNoob999” Reinkemeier $135,053.32
2.The__Anfied $129,319
3.TomsBarkis $26,834.20
4.Maroc_Dk77 $49,354.30
5.Rumazon $42,861.55
6.3max $25,917.22
7.Sedinoel $37,5221.16
8.Reutsim $42,295.27
9.Swillslinger $40,773.98
