Scott Palmer races off to a seven-figure year inside of 3 weeks

Wednesday, 19 January 2011

Scott “URnotINdanger2” Palmer has been off to an amazing start this year after fully establishing himself at the nosebleed stakes by taking $1.1m out of the poker economy, largely via the accounts of Patrik Antonius and Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

Antonius and Palmer played several hours of $500/$1,000 PLHE/PLO mix with Palmer partaking in several pots touching a quarter-million dollars. His roaring start to 2011 puts him firmly on top of the money list online but he should beware the curse.

In 2009, it was Cole “CTS” South who started out of the gate hot, having accumulated almost four million dollars in earnings by March 2009. By the time Viktor Blom came on the scene CTS had already lost it back. Last year, Gus Hansen was the main player who was raking in all the pots and had made over $3m by mid-February. He finished the year a seven-figure loser.
