SCOOP NL Turbo champion wins his prize again at PLO cash

Friday, 27 May 2011

Isildur1 was surprisingly not the most active player at the $25/$50 tables on PokerStars yesterday with SCOOP Event #26 ($1,050 NL Turbo) winner Le kork taking to the $25/$50 PLO tables with what seemed to be reckless abandon.

Le Kork is a Russian player who was on nobody’s radar until his SCOOP win earlier in the month. That netted him a nice $130,000 prize as well as a new gold watch but railbirds seeing him on the high stakes tables must have assumed he wanted to gamble. Well, he did, but he seemed to know what he was doing.

Turns out the Russian is by no means a stranger to high stakes – over the course of his session he managed to nearly match his SCOOP prize, winning $122k at the PLO tables. Of course, he was joined in the winners’ circle by Viktor “Isildur1” Blom which is standard – Blom was another six-figure winner and is up $550k this month.
