Quiet weekend sees Urindanger win $150,000

Monday, 24 May 2010

Not much happened in the high stakes games on Full Tilt Poker this weekend, a lull of inactivity that law Di “Urindanger” Dang shoot to the top of the leaderboard after winning $150,000.

He played mostly in the CAP PLO game as has been the trend over the past weeks, winning a series of $16,000 pots to take his winnings over six figures in just 507 hands. Nicki Jedlicka, Brian Townsend and Gus Hansen all lost a small clip.

David Benyamine was the second-biggest winner of the weekend after making a shade under $100,000 playing mostly $100/$200 PLO. In the largest pot of the day he raised the button and was 3-bet to $2,000 by Brian Townsend. Calling, they saw a Tc-Qd-6c flop and checked it through, swelling the pot to $12,600 on the 2d turn and then getting most of the money in on the Td river for a $44,000 pot. Townsend held 8473 with clubs for a busted draw whereas Benyamine had rivered a diamond flush with almost the same hand – 8764.
