PokerStars release 111-event SCOOP 2011 schedule

PokerStars release 111-event SCOOP 2011 schedule

Thursday, 10 March 2011

The PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker is back for 2011 and this year there will be 37 events apiece for low, medium and high stakes guaranteeing $45,000,000 in prize money across two weeks. Everyone can take part, regardless of bankroll, and satellites start running next week for those who want to take shots.

Those unfamiliar with the SCOOP shouldn’t be worried about affording the buy-in. Unlike the WCOOP or other poker festivals, the 37 events are actually 111 events of three different buy-in levels. The Main Event, for example, will be three tournaments: a $109 event with a $1m guarantee; a $1,050 event with $3m guaranteed and a $10,300 event with $5m guaranteed.

The full schedule is available here and runs across two weeks with a variety of events encompassing all forms of poker. Highlights are a $25,500 NL heads-up tournament; a $1,050 rebuy NL event with big antes and several big tournaments with seven-figure guarantees.

PokerStars Pros do well in SCOOPs historically so the high stakes final tables will be great to rail. Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Jason Mercier and Shaun Deeb are just some of the PokerStars Pros with engraved watches and six-figure scores.
