PokerStars makes great additions to their latest software update

Wednesday, 11 August 2010

PokerStars, despite being the world’s largest and most successful poker site, is constantly looking to improve software and features and, with their latest update, they have truly hit the nail square on the head.

The updates seem to be geared towards multi-tabling grinders who are, of course, the bread and butter of PokerStars’ rake accumulation – smart move. A series of annoyances for the serious player have been fixed and improvements to existing systems were also made.

Now when a new tournament opens it will wait in the background until it is your turn to act – no more surprise pop-ups when that 180-seat sit n’ go suddenly fills and you don’t get to press “call” in time on the table you have top set. In addition, when you are moved to another table within a tournament it simply tells you on the table itself and does not pop to the front.

Improvements have also been made to the note-taking system with more extensive notes available as well as colour-coding. Fish are green, regs are red, nits are blue...

Also, the Waiting List isn’t so demanding and allows you to finish your action on other tables before deciding whether or not to accept a seat.

Don’t know about you, but we’re off to play a few tournaments at PokerStars.
