The world’s largest regular online poker tournament series returns for its ninth run on September 5, this time bigger and better than ever.

In the 2010 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker, 62 events will guarantee $50,000,000 in prizes; an average of over $800,000 per event.

Over 23 days, dozens of tournaments involving every imaginable form of poker will take place at the world’s largest online poker site. It kicks off on September 5 with a $200 + $15 NL Hold ‘em 6-max tournament and the highlights of the series will include a $10,300 High Roller 8-game event and the now trademark 2-day $5,200 Main Event with a $10,000,000 guarantee.

"Players across the world re-arrange their calendars around the WCoOP schedule," said Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu. "It is the biggest and best online poker tournament series - and draws in tens of thousands of players, with the deepest structures and a wide variety of events. I can't wait to play this year’s series!"

Last year, more than 40,000 players from 140 countries around the world competed in the WCoOP with Yevgeniy Timoshenko winning $1.7m for his Main Event victory. This year multiple events offer a seven-figure prize pool and satellites for peanuts are running now at PokerStars.
