Phil Galfond: “CAP PLO is a boring game”.
Wednesday, 28 July 2010

While the CAP PLO game, in which players can only bet up to 30 BBs per hand, seems popular with the less high-rolling players in Full Tilt Poker’s nosebleed games, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond’s latest blog shows how he feels about these tables.

“I really dislike cap PLO. I think it's a boring game with few complexities, and those complexities are more about math and running hand scenarios through calculators off the table than they are about psychology, levelling, and adjusting to opponents and game flow,” he wrote. “If cap PLO are the only games running, I'll play, but I hope people start playing something else.”

Patrik Antonius has also recently expressed his dislike for the CAP games, which hopefully will mean a move to the uncapped high stakes tables soon. Hell, even if it’s just Antonius and Galfond duking it out at $300/$600 PLO we’ll be happy.
