Patrik Antonius continues winning streak

Monday, 5 April 2010

Patrik Antonius seems to be on the up, though when you’re playing high stakes PLO with the best players in the world there are no such things as upswings and downswings – just eternal variance.

Antonius, who has lost millions at the Full Tilt Poker nosebleed stakes this year, has been on a winning streak over the past few days earning $400,000 or so. His most recent win came at the hands of Cole South, who lost $222,000 to the Finn playing $200/$400 heads-up PLO.

Their largest pot came when all the money went in on a Kh-Ts-4s board in a 4-bet pot. South held AKQ5 for a gutshot and top pair whereas Antonius held AAQJ for an open-ender and an overpair. His aces held up to win a $157,000 pot.

Keep up to date with the nosebleed action at Bluff Europe or watch it live at Full Tilt Poker.
