Patrik Antonius back to even for 2010

Patrik Antonius back to even for 2010

Wednesday, 5 May 2010

If most people were up almost $50,000 from poker in five months we’d be ecstatic. Patrik Antonius is probably quite happy with that result also – for him it’s not a great deal of money but it marks the official end of a $4m hole.

Antonius blamed illness and lack of focus for a torrid start to 2010 when he lost millions in January. A sick run of cards and bad decks in the ring games and Durrrr Challenge exacerbated this to a $4.4m deficit by April.

However, in the same manner that Tom Dwan returned from his Isildur1-caused losses; Antonius is back. A $268,000 win at Full Tilt yesterday was enough to put him back in the black and he’s ready to fight again.

Antonius is possibly online poker’s biggest winner with reported earnings of over $10,000,000 on European sites during the poker boom and confirmed earnings of over $15m on Full Tilt Poker.
