NEKOTYAN is July’s biggest winner thus far

Thursday, 22 July 2010

As you are aware we haven’t seen a great deal of action at the nosebleed games on Full Tilt Poker during the WSOP. This just means that some of the more elusive players have been profiting – jungleman12 was May’s biggest winner while this month NEKOTYAN has made over $600,000 since July 1.

The Russian player, who has over $2m in earnings on Full Tilt this year, topped Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies ($380,000) and jungleman12 ($250,000) for July earnings. On the other end of the spectrum were Tom “durrrr” Dwan who dropped $300,000 this month and harrington25, whose $320,000 loss yesterday pushed him a quarter-million into the red.

Don’t let July fool you, however – Dwan is by far the biggest winner on Full Tilt for 2010, having made over $3.1m since January 1 when he was recovering from a $6m loss at the hands of Isildur1. He, NEKOTYAN, jungleman12 and Phil Ivey are the only players across the $2m mark this year.

Brian Townsend is the 2010 loser with over $2.5m donated to the high stakes economy this year. He is joined in the seven-figure loser’s circle by ZeeJustin and Richard Ashby.
