NEKOTYAN and Finns lead online high stakes scoreboard

Monday, 2 August 2010

Full Tilt Poker actually lost out to PokerStars in terms of high stakes action this past month as Daniel Negreanu has been rinsing the $100/$200 games over at the world’s largest poker site. That, plus the WSOP, lead to Full Tilt’s nosebleed tables collecting dust with a few exceptions.

Russian player NEKOTYAN topped the July leaderboard in terms of net profit, having bagged up a cool $900,000 for the month. Shortly behind him was Finnish giant Patrik Antonius, whose 2010 hasn’t been incredible, earning half a million dollars just behind fellow Finn LokoIsBack.

At the other end of the spectrum were Cole South, Ashton Griffin and Tom “durrrr” Dwan. The latter lost over $400,000 in July but still tops the 2010 leaderboard with over $3m won since January 1. NEKOTYAN and LokoIsBack now join Dwan and jungleman12 as being the only players with over $2m in 2010 winnings.

The biggest loser of 2010 is unfortunately still Brian Townsend, who can’t move above the -$2.5m mark. Watch this action live at Full Tilt Poker.
