Besides WSOP and WSOPE final tablist Ivan Demidov, we don’t hear a great deal about Russian poker players – the game lost its sport status recently and it means that the poker industry in Russia has suffered horribly.

That doesn’t stop high stakes player NEKOTYAN though, who has been consistently crushing the high-stakes PLO games as well as the 7-Game. Last night he took to the tables and earned over $214,000.


He didn’t play in any huge pots; choosing to play CAP PLO instead. However this seems to be a good idea for him as in just 1,747 hands he earned $214,037. This takes his total winnings close to the coveted million dollar milestone.
