Gus Hansen wins over $450,000 at Full Tilt Poker

Wednesday, 13 October 2010

Gus Hansen is, according to tracking sites, the biggest loser at high stakes on Full Tilt with the exception of Guy LaLiberte – in NL and PLO, at least. Since the sites began tracking Omaha 8 and mixed games he has improved – funny, that.

His first chunk of profit came in a heads-up PLO cap game against Urindanger, during which he won almost $240,000 in 304 hands. Overall, he won $222,000 in just under a thousand hands in the late hours of Sunday-cum-early hours of Monday.

On Tuesday he returned to the tables and played almost 800 hands; this time he won over $250,000 and a lot was at the expense of Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies in the $2,000/$4,000 Omaha 8 game. The Finn lost over $120,000 and Hansen collected the other $130,000 of his profit by playing in the seven-game mix.
