Gus Hansen wins more than $700,000 at Full Tilt

Friday, 24 September 2010

Gus Hansen, despite hopping around London on crutches, has had a great week. He’s already locked up at least £180,000 in the World Series of Poker Europe Heads Up High Roller event and is within one match of taking home his first WSOP bracelet. In addition to this, he has won almost three quarters of a million dollars online.

In the past two weeks Hansen has been taking to the Stud, Stud Hi/Lo and Razz games as well as the mixed tables which have netted him overall about $300,000. In addition, he has made around $400,000 at the NL and PLO/PLO8 tables at Full Tilt’s nosebleed stakes for a total weekly profit of over $700,000.

Despite this, Hansen is still down almost $9,000,000 at Full Tilt since the beginning of 2007 – more than any single one of Guy LaLiberte’s accounts, though the Danish backgammon maestro has a long way to go before reaching Guy’s $18m in the red figure.
