Gus Hansen wins $200,000 at Full Tilt Poker
Wednesday, 28 July 2010

Despite his live tournament success and millionaire baller status, Gus Hansen is actually the biggest loser on Full Tilt Poker with the exception of Guy LaLiberte. The Great Dane is down over $6.5m since he began playing but it would have been closer to $7m were it not for a nice session of CAP PLO yesterday.

Hansen won over $190,000 in the $200/$400 CAP game on the day that saw Brian “sbrugby” Townsend drop almost a quarter-million dollars. Demonstrating the loose and volatile nature of the PLO game was NEKOTYAN’s $55,000 pot that was the largest of the day.

At $100/$200, NEKOTYAN was taking on Justin “BoostedJ” Smith in a 3-bet pot when all the money went in on a 2s-6h-8h flop. Smith showed QT96 with two hearts for a pair, flush draw and gutshot; NEKOTYAN held KQJ7 for a higher flush draw. No hearts turned on the next two streets but a rivered jack allowed NEKOTYAN to scoop the pot with just one pair.
