Gus Hansen has a quarter-million dollar weekend at Full Tilt

Tuesday, 23 November 2010

Gus Hansen is still charging back towards the goal of positive integers on his 2010 high stakes poker score sheet with a $281,000 win at Full Tilt Poker over the weekend bringing The Great Dane within $1.4m of even for 2010 after a low point of -$3.7m.

This means that in the past two months Hansen has won over two million dollars and his ascent shows no signs of slowing – perhaps he has been kidding us all this time and now he’s going to dominate the nosebleed stakes? He is still down overall over eight million dollars since tracking sites began monitoring the high stakes games almost four years ago.

His near $300,000 score this weekend came playing PLO which is the game that has lost him the most money – he is a near nine million dollar loser at PLO but Omaha 8 seems to be his game; Hansen has won almost four million at the $2,000/$4,000 tables.

If the Great Dane’s run continues then it could be a big change for the dynamic of the games at Full Tilt Poker.
