Dwan kills Ziigmund for $1.6m; Odonkor1 for $200k

Tom “durrrr” Dwan has been on a serious rush at Full Tilt Poker, winning a total of $1.9m in the past 24 hours. He took on European newcomer Odonkor1 at $100/$200 NL – this time the Swede lost out, unlike last time Dwan sat down with a mystery man from that country.

Over the course of 1,992 hands Odonkor1 put up an impressive performance but was playing the world’s best and felt that sting to the tune of $199,000. Dwan then played Ziigmund and Ivey at $500/$1,000 PLO and won $104,000 before losing all $180,000 in the 7-game.

After a relatively breakeven day, he then sat down with Ziigmund at $500/$1,000 PLO which, Dwan being Dwan and Ziigmund being Ziigmund, soon became $3,000/$9,000. Only 576 hands later we’d seen some massive pots – including one $503,000 behemoth – and Dwan had won $1.55m or so.

The largest pot came with a huge draw versus top set. The money went in on the turn after a $110,000 flop and Ziigmund’s Jh-Th-9h-8s had about 44% equity against durrrr’s Jd-9d-9s-2c on a 2957 board with a flush draw. They ran it twice and Ziigmund missed both rivers, losing a half-million dollar pot.

Dwan is now on $7.3m profit at Full Tilt this year, mostly PLO. Watch him aim for eight figures at Full Tilt Poker.
