Durrrr leads the action on Full Tilt again

Friday, 20 March 2009

Firstly, the more astute of our readers will note that this week’s online poker updates is being uploaded on a Friday. This is a schedule change that will be permanent for very complex and scientific reasons. OK, that might have been a lie.

So, to the action – first things first, Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius finally, after a two-week hiatus, got round to playing some more hands of their challenge. An hour-long session saw nearly 1,000 hands played in which the Finn regained some ground to the tune of $80k, meaning durrrr’s lead has narrowed to “only” $52,567.

Tom and his friend (and Bluff Europe contributor) Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond then took to the mixed Hold ‘em/Omaha (HA) tables and proceeded to destroy them. Gus Hansen saw himself stuck a fair bit as did Dang brother Urindanger.

Here are the results from the HA tables yesterday, provided by HSDB:

OMGClayAiken +$663k
durrrr +$385
tsarrat +$347k
Urindanger -$587k
Gus Hansen -$430k

Hansen’s loss shouldn’t bother him too much, however, as he left a winner to the tune of $1.1m in the mixed games earlier in the week.
